Lioré-et-Olivier H.24-2
The Lioré-et-Olivier H.24-2 is a four-engined flying-boat used by Air France on its Trans-Mediterranean services services from Marseilles to Algiers and Tunis. It has a metal hull and wooden wings, with the four 350 h.p. Gnôme-Rhône K.7d engines mounted in two tandem pairs above the wings, where the airscrews are well clear of spray. There is accommodation for a crew of three and ten passengers, and aft of the main cabin is the large baggage-hold. The H.24-2 weighs 18,522 lbs. fully loaded and has a top speed of 137.7 m.p.h.
