| The Heinkel He.
111 is a twin-engined development of the He. 70, which it resembles
very closely, except for the provision of two engines and a general
all-round enlargement. The He. 111 has accommodation for ten passengers,
four in a separate smoking compartment over the wing and six in the
after compartment. It is fitted with two B.M.W. VI engines and a retractable
undercarriage, the wheels swing back into the tails of the engine
necelles when retracted. The He. 111 weighs 15,250 lbs. fully loaded,
and has a cruising speed of 200 m.p.h. |
