Savoia-Marchetti S. 73
The Savoia-Marchetti S. 73, designed and built by the Italian Savoia Company, is the latest type of air liner to be acquired by S.A.B.E.N.A. for use on its European services. The first three supplied to S.A.B.E.N.A. were Italian-built, but future machines will be manufactured in Belgium under licence. The S. 73 has accommodation for a crew of four and eighteen passengers, and is fitted with three 600 h.p. Gnôme-Rhône K.9 engines. It weighs 20,500 lbs. fully loaded, and has a cruising speed of 180 m.p.h.
