Blackburn Skua
The Skua is a dive bomber monoplane produced for the Fleet Air Arm by Blackburn Aircraft Ltd. It is the first monoplane to be put into production for Naval use, and operates from aircraft carriers. In flight the wheels fold up into the wings, while on ship-board the wings fold against the fuselage for easy stowage. An interesting feature is that the water-tight fuselage will keep the plane afloat in the sea for a long time, even if the cockpits are flooded.
