Fairey Battle

The Fairy Battle has been delivered in large numbers to the R.A.F. and composes many of our first-line squadrons. It is an all-metal medium bomber with a crew of two. A Rolls-Royce Merlin engine of 990 h.p. supplies the power, driving a three bladed variable pitch air-screw. Armament consists of a fixed Browning gun in the right wing and a free gun in the back cockpit. Full night-flying equipment is carried, and the machine can attain a speed of over 250 m.p.h.
