
| The Hawker Hind
is a two-seater single-engined day bomber, and is one of the smallest
maintained for this purpose. Two 250-lb. bombs are carried, or a larger
number of smaller bombs. Two Vickers guns, firing through the air-screw
lie in the slots visible in the nose of the plane, and the Lewis gun
is mounted over the back cockpit. A Rolls-Royce Kestrel engine supplies
the power, and will lift the plane to a "'service" ceiling
of 26,400 feet. |
