Short Scion Senior
The Scion Senior was built by Messrs. Short Bros. as a half-size scale model of the Empire Flying Boat. Four Pobjoy engines were selected for mounting on the single wing to represent the 910 h.p. Bristol "Pegasus engines used in the bigger boat. For passenger service the Scion Senior is adapted either as a land monoplane or a float seaplane, seating up to nine passengers. These machines cruise at 126 m.p.h.
