Class of flying-boat is used by Pan American Airways on its long-distance
oversea routes. From Miami Florida, services run across the Caribbean
and down the coast of South America to Buenos Aires. From San Francisco
a Trans-Pacific service runs to Honolulu and Manila. For the long
flying stages on these routes every comfort is provided in the "Clipper"
Class flying-boats. Sleeping accommodation is available, although
it is customary for passengers to sleep ashore at the various overnight
