Advertising by Jersey Businesses 1889.
A selection of Trade adverts from the Nouvelle Chronique
De Jersey Almanach of 1889. While many of the firms featured
some of the names will be familiar to older residents and visitors
to the Island. The original images were in very poor condition
due to deterioration of the paper used by the printers, all have
been restored to their original condition. Such a task is
very time consuming, due to the fact that the nearly every line
of text was printed using a different obsolete font some images
required over sixty hours to restore. Note:
While this section is viewable at lower screen resolution's a setting
of 800x600 pixels or above is required for best results. Due
to extensive graphic content load time is approximately 26 seconds
for a 56k modem user.
