Jersey C.I.  A History of The Ecréhous 1884.  Illustrated by P. J. Ouless.  This section describes a fishing trip to the Ecréhous and gives a description of the history of the group of islet's.  Part of the Parish of Saint Martin they are currently again in the news due to recent proposal's regarding the construction of a "Wind Farm" in the vicinity.

Printed Advertising by Jersey Businesses 1889.   A selection of Trade adverts from the Nouvelle Chronique De Jersey Almanach of 1889.  While many of the firms featured some of the names will be familiar to older residents and visitors to the Island.  The original images were in very poor condition due to deterioration of the paper used by the printers, all have been restored to their original condition.  Such a task is very time consuming, due to the fact that the nearly every line of text was printed using a different obsolete font some images required over sixty hours to restore.  Note: While this section is viewable at lower screen resolution's a setting of 800x600 pixels or above is required for best results.  Due to extensive graphic content load time is approximately 26 seconds for a 56k modem user.

Island Views from the Victorian and Edwardian period.  Mainly taken from postcards of the period, these are mainly coastal, harbour and railway views.  They give a good indication of of how much has changed since the turn of the 19th and 20th century.  See Links below:
