Guiton & Lucas Ship Brokers Jersey 1889
Guiton & Lucas were still trading from 24, Esplanade, 42 & 43 Commercial Street & 13 Castle Street in 1947.  At that time they were listed as Potato and Coal Merchants, Exporters of Jersey produce and importers of artificial manures.  Many firms were engaged in this type of business most either ceased trading or amalgamated when the Jersey Coal Board became sole importers of solid fuels in the late 1960's.  No recent mention of the firm can be found and it is likely that the trading name became extinct by the late 1960's.
