Jersey Royal Potatoes For Export. This photograph was taken around 1928 at Haute Croix Farm St. John and features my Grandfather with his horse Beauty. She served with the military during World War One and served the family faithfully to just prior World War Two. The barrels contained when filled flush 168 lbs. of potatoes, and up to 180 lbs. when rounded off as in the image above.
