St. Helier Harbour with Elizabeth Castle in the background.  Left: Victoria Pier.  Right: Albert Quay.  Passenger Ships were operated by The Southern Railway and The Great Western Railway operating form Southampton and Weymouth respectively.  Both companies prided themselves in operating the fastest service, unfortunately this resulted in several mishaps which could perhaps be the basis of a further web site.
